Interning at AWC
AWC interns are amazing! Our interns regularly comprise of college students and young adults during gap years, but no matter who you are, if you’re interested in gaining clinical experience, interning is for you! Our interns have gone on to nursing school, physician assistant school, medical school, and dental school. We are very proud of all of our past and future interns!
As a medical intern, you will be trained to complete intake examinations, navigate our EMR, and conduct a variety of point of care tests. Being a certified MA is a plus, but for outstanding candidates, we make exceptions. We also always need dental interns. You will assist our volunteer dentists during dental appointments. We will train you for this position.
Interns must commit to working at least one full shift during normal business hours of Monday through Wednesday, 8am to 3pm, with priority given to people with multi day availability.

We are fortunate that our Fall 2025 medical interns are continuing into Spring 2026. We are full regarding dental interns. Check back in April 2026 for information about Summer 2026 opportunities.
