Team Spotlight: Sharon McArthur

For the past six years, Sharon McArthur has been a steady, compassionate volunteer at Athens Wellness Clinic, serving as a Receptionist and helping ensure every patient feels welcomed and supported.

A retiree who first learned about AWC through another volunteer, Sharon was drawn to the Clinic because of its mission to provide care for those who need it most. What she loves most about volunteering here is meeting patients and being part of a space that prioritizes dignity, kindness, and access to care.

In her role, Sharon supports the front desk by scheduling appointments and registering new patients, helping keep the Clinic running smoothly while creating a warm and organized experience for everyone who walks through the door.

Outside of the Clinic, Sharon enjoys exercising, playing piano, and reading, bringing the same curiosity, calm, and dedication to her personal life that she brings to her volunteer work.
